Six small light dots, each sitting on a replaceable hydrocolloid pad. The hydrocolloid is the part that works - it covers the spot and draws the fluid out of it, the same material used on blisters, which also means you cannot pick at it while you sleep. The light is warm and soft and glows through the pad. Peel, press, sleep, lift it off in the morning.

How it goes
Three seconds, then forget it
- Clean and dry the spot — hydrocolloid will not stick to anything damp.
- Press the dot on and switch the light on if you want it.
- Sleep. Peel it off in the morning; the patch comes away with what was in the spot.
Do not pop it first. The patch works on a closed spot and picking is the thing it exists to stop.

Does the light treat the spot?
We are not going to tell you it does. Lit Dots is a cosmetic product, not a medical device, and brands that make treatment claims about LED acne devices hold clearances we do not. What the patch physically does is absorb fluid and cover the spot. The light is part of the routine.
What does the hydrocolloid actually do?
It is the same material used on blisters: it absorbs the fluid out of a closed spot and seals it under a barrier, which also means you cannot pick at it while you sleep.
Can I wear it under makeup?
You can wear a hydrocolloid dot under makeup, though the LED version is designed for overnight wear.
